You were made to feel wrong about your feelings, your desires, your own human nature — and that wasn’t a moral failure. It was your innocence, converted into guilt and built into your body as structure before you were even aware it happened. Most people still live inside it.
The finished work doesn’t get more finished — your body gets more able to receive it.
Jesus never made you feel wrong about your feelings. That was the world’s job — and it did very effective work.
The Spirit doesn’t bypass your defenses. He walks you through them, into newness of life.
Those defenses — the bracing, the numbness, the low hum of not being enough — are the physical residue of your false self. Dismantle the structure, and you dissolve the tension that’s holding the lie together.
Discipleship isn’t complete until your body agrees with grace.
This is how faith is born.
Genius of the Body disciples your body into its original connection in Christ.
Jesus doesn’t bypass the nervous system — He inhabits it.
The structure of guilt gets physiologically undone — the tensions melt, the blood flows, the body comes alive again.
You get your joy back because the Lord gives you your body back.
Because in Christ, you were already home free before you ever felt lost.

There are two failures on either side of this work. Genius of the Body refuses both.
You believe every word, but it never reaches your real life — and you’re told that’s a faith problem.
The breathwork room will talk about your nervous system all day and never once mention Christ crucified.
This is not Christianity with bodywork added. It is not somatics with Jesus language on top. It is the formation of the body in the truth of Christ through the life-giving work of the Spirit.
I built this because I needed it first.
I was raised in a Christian home and I was not raised whole.
What formed me — sexually, relationally, as a man — came from wounds no sermon ever addressed and no Sunday school curriculum ever named.
I believed God had left sin inside me on purpose — to keep me humble, and dependent on Him.
The men who actually met me at the level of my soul were not standing behind pulpits.
One never claimed Christ at all — but his empathy reached places my theology hadn’t.
One has walked with me since I was a teenager — and taught me practices that brought my body and mind back to life in the Holy Spirit. I would not have this work without him.
One is no longer living, and his insight into the disembodied human being still outpaces most of what passes as Christian teaching today.
I did not bypass the gospel to learn from them.
I found, through them, how much of the gospel I had never actually let reach my body.
When I brought everything I had found back through Scripture, the early church, years of embodied practice, fellowship, and the finished work of Christ, the pieces stopped competing. They came home.
I stopped seeing God as an impossible-to-please parent.
That integration became Genius of the Body.
The mind says one thing. The body feels another. And the two never become friends.
Until someone introduces them.
